This week's TWD recipe was chosen by Kait, who blogs over at Kait's Plate. You should be able to find the recipe on her blog.
If not, you can find the recipe HERE, from my post about these cookies over a year ago.
I didn't make them again b/c I didn't really care for them and actually ended up churning the leftover cookie dough that I didn't bake into vanilla ice cream, for homemade CCC dough ice cream.
I am pretty sure I did something wrong when I made these, because my cookies did not look anything like the ones in the book. They were very thin and crispy.
Go and see what the other TWD group members thought about these cookies by checking out the TWD Blogroll!
Thats a great photo, which is why you should stop by my blog for your award!
ReplyDeleteI made mine with white chocolate and orange zest - creamsicle cookies! yours look yummy!
ReplyDeleteI made the peanut butter variation and it was denser. Love your photo!
ReplyDeletetoo bad yiou weren't crazy for these. I really loved them!!!
ReplyDeleteNot my favorite ccc either. I love Dorie but these just weren't my favorite!
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the cookies from last year (I think) looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI loved these cookies. I think, I love all chocolate chip cookies but these were one of the best.
I love that photo of all the crispy edges! These weren't my all-time favourite cookies either, but I loved the dough and bet your ice cream was amazing!
ReplyDeleteNot my fav either. But they look pretty.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea - using dough or things other than the intended recipe! :) Sorry this wasn't a favorite of yours - strange how thin cookies aren't popular with a lot of folk. The photo looks spectacular though!
ReplyDeleteI don't think you did anything wrong - mine were definitely thin & crispy too and it seems like lots of other people had a similar experience. Definitely not a favorite, but I love your idea to use the dough in ice cream!
ReplyDeleteMine were flat too! I thought I did something wrong, but the more blogs I read, the more I see cookies like mine. They tasted good, just looked bad. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I made these, they looked like yours, so I went a different CCC route with mine. I like the idea of using them in ice cream though!
ReplyDeleteSorry they weren't your favorite, they look good!
ReplyDeleteMine was thin and crispy too! Funny, wasn't my favorite CCC recipe.
ReplyDeleteLove your idea of making this into CCC ice cream! Nice!
Your cookies look pretty. Sorry they weren't a hit. I love vanilla and cookie dough ice cream. Yum.
ReplyDeleteThey look delicious!
ReplyDeleteI made those and ended up giving them away. My family really enjoys the "thicker/chewy" kind. I just keep going back to my old go-to recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookies and add my own touches. It never fails to deliver.
ReplyDeleteBut I love your blog and pictures!
