MSC started as an idea by Sugar B- she had bought Martha Stewart's Cupcakes Cookbook and she sent out a plea;
she had owned it a month and not a cupcake had been made, she need motivation and a gameplan (we all joined in!);
we decided to bake 1 cupcake a month starting with these delicious, chocolate mini-cupcakes, filled with salted-caramel (don't be scared of this part- watch it close and act fast!), topped with satiny dark chocolate frosting and a sprinkle of sea salt;
I made 1/4th of the recipe and they disappeared fast- go check out Sugar B's blog for the Blogroll of MSC!
You can find the recipe HERE or on page 148 of Martha Stewart's Cupcakes

ReplyDeleteOk, I think we both used the same photo stylist! These look GREAT Mary Ann!!! I love how these cupcakes turned out - AND tasted. Got great compliments on the flavor- and me, thinking salt would just be weird-tasting. Glad you are baking and looking forward to seeing more in the months ahead!
ReplyDeleteThese look awesome and I will check out the recipe. I have been wanting to buy Martha's new cupcake book at Cosco. Problem is I could easily eat more then one cupcake in one sitting:)

hi! :) that looks really scrumptious! I been here before and I really like your blog, I was looking for your blog because I remember seeing mango bread here and I forgot to get the recipe, then I remember that you are a member of TWD (wish I am too)and look you up there :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, and fun to see since I got to hear about the progress as you were doing it yesterday! I didn't sprinkle salt on top as Mark didn't think the boys would eat it with salt on top. Since I had 24 of these things to get rid of, figured I should listen to him. I can see now that the salt looks very cute sitting up there. Love your photos.
ReplyDeleteYour cupcakes look amazing! Great job!

ReplyDeleteOh wow, they look amazing! I love how high you piped the frosting and the salt on top sounds delicious too with the caramel - yum!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, terrific photos Mary Ann! Your cupcakes are gorgeous! I really liked these though my caramel got a bit hard in the center of the cupcakes, which made them a little tricky to eat.
ReplyDeleteYour cupcakes look amazing! Yum, lots of frosting.
ReplyDeleteMan. I just couldn't join another group. but seeing all the cupcakes is making me second guess my decision.
